Apricots are separated into groups according to demonstration to market, into types according to prepation, into classes according to their properties and into numbers according to the number of grains out of 1 kg.

Groups

Dried Apricots are separated into two groups:
- Natural dried apricots,
- *Sulphured dried apricots.
* preserve their freshness and bright natural color.

Types

Dried Apricots are separated into three types:

-Whole Unpitted, 
-Whole Pitted,
- Halves.

Classes

Natural and sulphured dried apricots are separated into four classes.
-   Extra,
-   Class 1,
-   Class 2,
-   Industrial

Numbers
Dried apricots are divided into numbers from 1 to 8 subject to the number of the pieces per
1 kg

Pieces and numbers of dried apricots in each number are given in Chart 1.
